Note: Following the steps outlined in this article and downloading the mobile config. file are carried out at your own risk. By using the tethering feature without subscribing to the 02 tethering service, 02 reserve the right to disconnect your phone and / or charge you for the data you have used via the tethering service. By using the information / content below you agree to not hold this site or the author responsible for any issues that arise from your use of this information (this includes legal issues, technical issues with your iPhone, watching YouTube and getting disconnected / charged or absolutely ANYTHING ELSE).

This has been a feature many people (especially myself) have been waiting for, the ability to use your iPhone as a broadband modem on a desktop PC of laptop.

The method in which Apple has implemented this feature is superb and so easy even the most technophobic could set it up within 5 minutes.

To enable this on 02UK can be completed in a few simple steps (Thanks to help.benm.at):

1) Make sure your iPhone is running iPhone OS 3.0 and your PC / laptop that you want to tether your phone to is running iTunes 8.2.

2) Go to this address on your iPhone:
