I’ve decided to re-think (rather dramatically) the design of the site. I’ve seen loads of cool, more Web 2.0, generally better WordPress driven sites and I I’m going to follow them.
I didn’t really know what I was going to put up here, before here happened, so it was a bit of a guess on how to structure & design it. I now have plans to post more and better targeted content, I have a need for a projects area – a home for all of my random bits of code - tutorials on trouble shooting specific software errors that I’ve met and a whole lot more.
This ‘template’ was not created to the WordPress ‘rule set’ for templates, nor does it meet compliance for accessibility or a wide range of other topics and as such I spent 3 hours trying to fix it!
#Rant: I was happily browsing around bouncing from site-to-site when I came across a rather cool chain of blogs in the US by a mish-mash of Web Designers, Graphic Designers ‘Artists’ (if you would prefer), Copywriters, etc. I got nudged by this post by my ‘friendly neighborhood WordPress junkie’ (aka Sarah@S.Joy Studios – check her site, pretty cool) about upgrading WordPress to the latest version to prevent hack attacks (which I really should be doing on my own now – with 10 years of development behind me).
So I log into my dashboard, hit the upgrade button (lazy me) and booom, WordPress was upgraded – I must say I was impressed by the simplicity of this. However my template did not like it! Spacing issues, truncation issues, non-truncation issues, the works. So this pushed me over the edge, thanks I needed it.
Update 10:51pm: To top it off, someones already got my user ID on twitter, serves me right for being slow to adopt!#Rant Over
So lookout for a new theme, revamped content, and I will also get round to releasing some cool Windows gadgets that I’ve been working on & I’m going to do a bit of travelling. Check back soon!

Hooray for you! Can't wait to see the new digs. ;)
